On Sunday 18 October Barbie’s Playschool in Broadstairs held their annual Sponsored Walk and this year chose to make their walk in aid of Pilgrims Hospices.
During this week Barbie’s also held a bake sale and sold cake’s to the parents and the community which altogether has nearly raised £2500 through sponsorship and the bake sale.
Josh Thomason, Community Fundraising Officer for Pilgrims Hospice said: “Thank you so much to Barbie’s Playschool, for all of your efforts from the sponsored walk and bake sale which will continue to help us provide important hospice care services within the local community.”
Pilgrims Hospices provides care from three hospice sites in Ashford, Canterbury and Thanet as well as in the community and patient’s own homes. The service is dedicated to ensuring that local people living with terminal illness are able to access the extraordinary care and comfort they require when they need it.
